Familiars are more commonly associated with tales of magic and wonder. They are beings whose sole purpose is to serve and protect their kindred spirit. One of these guardian spirits tries to seek his identity, though he encounters difficulty in the fact that the girl he guards misunderstands his purpose and allows herself to become terrified of him. This is a story about how he tries to remove this fear so that he can finally possess a name of which to call his own. (Yet another bit of proof of the fact that I can't write good summaries...oh well, I hope you find it in your hearts to give this short story a go, regardless :D I'd really appreciate it, thanks anyway).

This is literally my diary. As a reader I'm guessing you want a realistic story so here one is. I bet you really like invading privacy and getting in people's heads too ;P
