Do faeries truly exist? The World Faery Society (WFS) is determined to answer that question by investigating its biggest mystery yet: The Westbury Faery. Is she real? And if so, who is she and what is her story? But the WFS can't do it alone; the Society needs your help in writing her story. Explore the evidence, read theories and stories put forth by others, and write your own tale about The Westbury Faery's origins. The WFS will shortlist 100 of the most imaginative stories and theories about The Westbury Faery, and 20 winners will be published by Tiny Owl Workshop in a beautifully illustrated book in 2017. You can write flash fiction stories between 100 to 500 words or short stories between 1,500 to 3,000 words. Be sure your stories examine the question: Who is The Westbury Faery and what is her story? Contest entires closed on February 28th, 2017 but can be contributed ongoing at anytime! With your help, the WFS will be even closer to uncovering the mystery of The Westbury Faery.

Just a random little story involving some rather unique pirates in case any one wants to read it so they can see how I write. Mainly put up here since in all fairness, if I critique your stories, you should have the option to critique something of mine.

[Reviving and continuing soon... on Royal Road!] Growing up has always been difficult. It's even worse when you have to do it all in one night. At the ripe old age of twelve, Ty's life is falling apart. Going to a new school is made even more difficult when his grandfather dies of unknown causes. Without him around, Ty feels the pull between standing by his grandfather's belief of holding onto the kid inside and pressure from his father to "man up" and leave it all behind. All of his troubles finally reach a head when, on the eve of his thirteenth birthday, Ty awakes to find himself in a dreamworld, one-so he is told-that exists to pit him against his greatest fears and insecurities. And to ready him for a final choice. Luckily, Ty is not without friends. He soon meets Genno, a wooden puppet his grandfather made for him years ago, walking and talking, ready to help Ty learn what he needs to return home in one piece. The list of trials range from a girly-girl version of his best friend (who wants to do nothing but kiss), an army of plush creatures (that are far more deadly than they sound), and a nightmare version of his town where propaganda and a puppet master have reduced the population to mindless slaves. But the worst part is the master behind it all, a cruel and abnormally tall skeleton dressed in mockery of Santa Claus and his suit. San wants nothing more than to best Ty and do what none of his kind has ever done before: defeat a child that has made "the choice." But Ty will stop at nothing to fight back against everything San's got in order to face his fears and grow up. Because, if he doesn't, he will end up a kid forever. Or, worse...never wake up again.

"People think I'm crazy to dream of a world any different to our own, but I can't help it. Without dreams, where is the beauty in life?" Verity lives in a world where there's a place for everyone and everyone is in their place. Except for her. Born with mismatching eyes and a love of history and science, Verity does not belong with all the other Blondes, despite her best efforts. After a party gone bad reveals who she truly is, Verity finds herself in a position she could have never imagined. She is forced to question herself and everything she was raised to believe in order to make a choice: Remain in her safe little world, on the outside looking in, or join the search for a world she had believed to be destroyed by war to find a place where she belongs.

In Tokyo, where the System siphons thought, emotions & memories, a literature student meets a strange psychic girl and they embark on an escape from mindless agents, dream worlds and reality itself, in a soul-searching journey for love, for identity and what it means to be human. But all that remains is a peculiar coffee shop order. The novel examines the human condition, perception, socio-political systems, capitalism and consumer culture, incorporating paranoiac conspiracy theories, surreal cosmic visions, circular symbolism and shifting parallel worlds, with profound discussions of coffee, art, literature and music. [Dystopia, Magical Realism, Philosophy, Literary] #1 Sci-Fi, Spiritual; #Wattys2014 Award Winner; Featured on Wattpad, IndieReader, @DIGonUSA "Struck me to the very core of my being." "Very interesting concept of reality... Thought provoking.." "I have been turned to a whole new way of thinking because of you." "Like a seven course meal full of spice and illumination... One does not listen to a classical piece to get to its ending. No. It is the ride, the moment by moment...a genuine Masamune among stories." "It was both personable and philosophical. A rare breed of good story and thought provoking ideas... A virtual standing ovation would not be enough to encapsulate the absolute awe I have of you." "It's not a regular thing to find a piece of work that oozes sophistication and embodies literature and art." "The world Takatsu has created opens to the deeper awareness of another, the draw of another." - Mary L Tabor, Wattpad author, essayist, professor "Offers acute, almost painful observations of the minutiae of life, if life took place in a Murakami snow-globe." - IndieReader Insiders "Vapoury style that seems to hover off world at times...haunting and strange (which is good)...You're on to something different, striking." - B.W. "It all began in a blanketing fog, between a young boy and a strange dog." There is something strange about Alex's new school. Something really wrong with it's students. They whisper about him, make fun of him, and harass him before they ever try to get to know him. Everyone except the Tea Drinkers, that is. They welcome young, naive Alex with open arms. They take him in when everyone else avoided him like the plague. But something seems wrong with them, too. They are almost too nice. Too accepting. And they keep making these strange demands while their tea leaves poor Alex weak, dizzy, and confused. Then there's the strange dog that keeps stalking him--smiling at him like it knows something he doesn't. It comes coupled with a fog that descends into Alex's life, blinding him and stealing away the students around him. Little does Alex know, these people, creatures, and events are all connected -- all working with and against one another. Vying for control and dominance through any means necessary. And, little does Alex know, they all want a piece of him. ... (Rated M for Language) [COMPLETED]
