Driven by the promise of vengeance and the darkness in her past, the assassin Eryn Turner strives for justice. This includes the hunt for Edward Kenway, a powerful pirate and captain of the Jackdaw. The desire for truth leads to an unlikely alliance and more peril than even they recognize. One misstep will split the world, the fragment of protection the only defense. Shadows of the past darken the assassin's every step while the shame of the pirate's could lead to a dangerous choice. They made a vow to protect what they love. The question is, can they keep it? ----------- Disclaimer: I do not own Assassin's Creed: Black Flag or any of its characters. Eryn Turner belongs to me. Dedicated to @EmilyPaille and inspired by "Aboard the Jackdaw: Under Edward Kenway and the Black Flag". Cover by @AnodienFireborn. Rated R/M for mature language, violence, and sexual scenes/references (no actual lemons/smut) and other listed below. ***Sensitive topics are discussed in this book, including but not limited to: prostitution, death of a family member, infanticide, sex, murder, abduction and abuse. Read with caution. I will label which chapters are potentially dangerous/triggering.

Cold. Chilled blood and wind-whipped cheeks, fires not nearly hot enough to reach the high, drafty, cavernous ceilings that every home in the city seemed to have. Intricate carvings in the stone and woodwork too layered with ashen dirt and grime to be fully admired. Soot -- from the braziers in each quarter -- littering the snow and stamped into the frosted streets. Drinking water provided through melting chunks of ice over burning flame. That was all Jeremiah ever knew. Suddenly, the world he thought bleak, mediocre, and cruel had given him a new opportunity: adventure. *NOTE* "CURRENTLY" EDITING - This book was originally intended to be an Elder Scrolls AU of a group of modern office setting OCs created by myself and my fiancé. I am currently returning to that idea and therefore a lot of the characters will be changing names and/or gender. Some races or roles might shift to other characters. The plot however will have no other major alterations. It'll still be the same story! Current character changes: Bexima to Jeremiah (still half-Nord, half-Breton). Lysandriel to Dendriel (Falmer to Bosmer, role is identical). Salma, never written in published chapters, to Oleta (still Redguard, role is being altered very slightly). "It's a feeling, like no other. Won't be silent, but it'll always bother. It'll gnaw on the side of your brain. Until it evolves to a pain. You can't kill it, but it can destroy you, or tell you a lie. Maybe it's staring at you and you're just to blind. Curiosity is one of the greatest flaws of mankind, but do you really know why?" -- *follows main quest*

"I am destiny's most lethal weapon." ~♦~♦~♦~ Running from her problems has never quite been Astrid's style, so skipping her home country to escape an arranged marriage is definitely something out of the norm. Something else out of the norm: dragons. Even in a land where the dead can walk, humans can shoot lightning bolts, and swords can catch fire, dragons are a legend in Skyrim, and even more of a legend is the hero sent to stop their uprising. But when myth becomes reality and Astrid finds the fate of the world at the tip of her battleaxe, the eighteen year old blacksmith must leave her life behind in pursuit of a destiny she never imagined. In a world where hearts are cold and winters are colder, can Astrid find her voice to save the land and herself? {Set in the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (which belongs entirely to Bethesda), this is a story that adheres GENERALLY to the main plotline of the game, with integral characters created by me. Although it is a fanfiction, those who are unfamiliar with the game may enjoy the book as well. } {Special thanks to: @DrWidAA for creating an awesome cover.}

[IMPORTANT:! This is the new, edited version of Fighter! This is the version you want to read, not the other one. I am keeping the other one because I don't want to delete it since it got so much support and love - thank you guys so much for that! ^^ I will be updating this one, hopefully at a much faster rate than I have before. Thank you guys so much for your patience.] Seeing is believing. Too bad looks can be deceiving. --- Fraternal twins Alessia Snake-Shield and Amelio Nyhte have spent almost half of their lives on the run. Ever since their parents died from a bandit raid when they were both thirteen, they have thieved from markets, raided homes, and murdered the innocent together. Now, after ten grueling years with a routine of havoc and crime for the pair, they've been found out. After murdering the ruler of Skyrim, Emperor Titus Mede II, they were followed to their hideout in the woods by the authorities. Disaster ensues and the siblings are separated. The result? An adventurous tale filled with permanent mistakes, broken promises, life-altering secrets and perils, and the tale of how two thieves became two heroes, in their own separate ways.

Ven was nine years old when a raid destroys everything she knows and loves. She knows only one word to identify the people who did this, but that is quite enough- Imperials. A decade later, while returning from Cyrodiil, she is captured by the Imperials at the border and is sent to her execution unjustly. However, she meets the Stormcloaks, who fight for freedom from Imperial rule, and escapes her death thanks to a dragon attack, while learning she is not alone in despising the Empire. Ven is now going down a path of revenge and will stop at nothing to see it through. However, will it destroy her in the end? Or will she find peace instead? This is the story of the main quest line, followed by a much modified Civil War quest line. To my fellow authors Adhyanth and Malgeres for all the encouragement, input and motivation you give me. And to those who care enough to spend their time reading this, thank you. The sequel The Fall of Empires is here: http://my.w.tt/UiNb/1AC1Co5nKx
