It is said that Scotland is a magical place, that its history is tightly intertwined with legend. About twenty miles from Culloden Moor there is a small village. long forgotten the stones crumbling and the green moss and bracken slowly reclaiming the rocks as the mortar turns to dust. The thatched roofs long ago rotted away. The tiny cottages make a pretty picture despite the dark memories and pain they hold in their dank rooms. The despair and loss that was felt at their empty hearths. There was once happiness, and laughter but not after Culloden. Every man from that village left to fight for bonny prince Charlie, and not a one of them returned. Abigail Donivan has learned that she is the last surviving heir to the Donivan clan and as such has inherited the two hundred acre plot of Scottish wilderness, she stumbles across the tumbledown cottages and falls in love with their charm. She works feverishly to restore them to their previous glory (with some modern luxuries) and plans to rent them out like a bed and breakfast. little does she know that there may yet be some magic within the Scottish Stones.

This story was beautifully written. I love books written in this Era and Melanie captures the feel of that time by immersing us deep in the culture. She weaves a tender tale of how childhood friends face heartbreak, compassion, and love that transcends years to bring them together forever. - First Amazon review. A Friendship’s Love Filled with the dreams of youth, and surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Payton Martin’s world was simple. When someone closest to her is cruelly betrayed and unjustly sent away, life afterwards proves never to be the same for everyone involved, beginning a series of events beyond her control. Somehow, through the years that follow, Payton manages to deal with the heartache of loss and rejection, all while balancing her new situation, and becoming her own woman. Finally settled into a life that she could only once imagine, Payton is content; especially when the promise of love is presented by someone she admires and trusts. Nothing ever goes to plan, though. Once again she is faced with surviving circumstances, and choices others make on her behalf. This time, they ultimately take her across the ocean, to settle in a harsh new land.

Scotland, 1503 She clutched the carefully wrapped parcel close to her chest as she climbed over the cliffs. It was all she had left of her father, and she was determined that it would not be destroyed along with everything else. She finally reached the shore and looked around carefully to be sure she was alone. Seeing no one, Ailsa carefully unwrapped the layers of cloth and withdrew the beautiful violin and bow. She brushed off the carved wood, then tightened the bow hairs and adjusted the strings. Closing her eyes, she drew the bow across the strings and played a beautiful, haunting melody. It was as though the world stopped for her; the seagulls ceased their chattering and settled along the shore, the wind seemed to die down. Even the ocean itself seemed to crash a little quieter against the shore as her fingers played the sweeping melody. She didn't know that someone heard her, or that they stayed hidden until she was long gone. She knew only that she found peace here, peace in the midst of her terrible life. It was these stolen moments of joy that kept her from throwing herself from the high cliffs she stood upon, falling to a death that would end her misery. She couldn't know how her life would change after that day.

Very little is known about Jesus' half siblings. This story is written in the perspective of Anna, Jesus' sister. Journey with her as she shares her experiences and thoughts about Jesus and his journey. *Please note that some things may not be accurately correct since it is Historical Fiction. However, I recommend reading the Bible for an accurate account of Jesus Christ.
