Stormy doesn't remember what happened the day she and Jax were found at the age of six. They had been abandoned and left in the middle of the forest. But she knew it had something to do with their secret. Stormy and Jax grew up in foster care and never had anyone to explain why they held this secret. That was until Stormy met Rex and he changed her life forever. After Rex opened her eyes to a whole new world she never knew existed, he left and she thought she'd never see him again, but she was wrong. If a possessive alpha and an overprotected brother weren't enough, she then has to deal with the discovery of her past. Why were they abandoned? Where were her parents?

The characters are highly complex and they exist in a world that values strength over compassion, only the strong survive. The life inside the pack mimics that of a real wolf pack with a strict hierarchy that is established through fighting and power. It is also comparable to a medieval court, the king holds his divine right to rule and the queen exists solely to please and support the king. Throw in scheming courtiers with the ability to change into wolves with sharp claws and fangs and you have the pack construct. As the characters are basically wolves housed in a human skin and the story is laced with animalistic references and traits displayed by all. We first meet the main characters Meela and Grey it is on a bloody battlefield where they recognize each other as their soul mate, and Grey takes Meela as tribute for his pack's help in her brother's fight. From this point on Meela belongs to Grey, and in this world, a highly spirited female with a propensity for impulsive actions matched to a dog stubborn, self-assured, dominant male is going to cause problems. We follow Meela in her journey to become the pack's Luna, a pack who are even more wolf than the one she comes from, and with a mate who has set the highest standards for her to reach as his Luna(female Alpha) and will accept nothing less than perfection. In the midst of all this and the struggle they face to form a personal and public relationship, there is one incident that will change them both and the fate of the pack completely. From that point on both Meela and Grey are inevitably changed and for them to be together, either one or both needs to change, but when you live in a world where you are taught that weakness is easily exploited and to admit defeat can potentially lead to your destruction. Thank you @chortle for the great summary

"I don't love you, Alexandra. We may be bound by fate but you are nothing to me. You never have been-"his husky, cold, detached voice sent shivers of unadulterated fear down my spine; "and you never will be." Alexandra Grace was strong, uncommitted and unquestionably badass. So, when a man who looks like a dream, smells like heaven and sounds like silk, kidnaps her and then claims to be her soul-mate; it's safe to say that she puts up quite the fight. Xavier Rivera, on the other hand, is renowned for his lack of mercy, cold heart and harsh words. So, when this big, bad wolf finds his mate and steals the weak human away, he doesn't expect her to be his undoing. It doesn't take long for either of them to find that love, whether true or not, can really be quite dangerous.

"NO!" I pull at his hand, trying to restrain it from hitting the glass. He can't break it! "Please, don't!" I cry out, only to be thrown across the room, my body colliding with the wall. My only way home, my only chance to see the world I love and know. And just like that, his fist collides with the mirror, the glass shattering to the ground as I scream. Tears begin to fall as I scream at him, watching as he approaches me like a predator, his hands bloody, his eyes turning black. I'm trapped here, forever. And he couldn't be more happy.

Copyrighted 2017 *Completed* Highest rankings: #6 in Werewolf #1 in Wolves #3 in Featured He was said to be powerful, the most powerful of them all. A king of kings- a dark king. Complete control. He needed it- thrived on it. He was power, he was dark, and he was beautiful. They say he was a descendant of the first wolves- of shapeshifters so fierce they could kill with barely a glance. He was respected, revered. Feared. The King of the North. And we were the idiots sneaking into his territory. *Not your typical werewolf book* --please reframe from hateful comments directed at me or other readers who enjoy the story. *This book has no sexually mature scenes and is PG-13* *This book has nothing to do with The Game of Thrones, and is not a fanfic of any kind*
