[THE SEQUEL IS UP NOW, IT'S CALLED BIRDS] Maddie was just an ordinary girl. She worked in a music shop, and she sang at a pub to save some money. And then she met him. Let's say he wasn't as ordinary, because you can't say that singing in big stadiums and attending awards ceremonies is ordinary at all. I guess that's why she couldn't stand him. She thought he was just the typical arrogant kind of boy who thought he got it all. But there was some other reason why she didn't want him to get any closer to her, something he didn't know. However, if there's something I'm certain of, is that they weren't as different as they thought. They both loved music with passion, they both had strong personalities. And the most important thing of all, they both needed someone to keep them warm.

(This story can be also read on its own) "Have you ever wanted something so much that when you actually get it it isn't what you expected? I haven't always believed in love, truth said, but I guess I always wanted to have a family, I mean, isn't it what humans are supposed to do? I've always been fascinated by the idea of creating something, being a part of it and loving every single thing about it. All I ever wanted was to get engaged and then get married, obviously. I think it's one of those things that totally change your life, it's a new start. It is a chance to be part of someone's life forever. But I guess I had never thought that the time between the engagement and the wedding would be so hard. I used to think you just have fun with the guy you love, and everything's easy and perfect. I never realised how wrong I was until I had to feel it in my bones. Or maybe I wasn't wrong. Maybe I just made things harder or maybe I was just scared. He was the perfect man, but maybe he wasn't the one for me. I probably sound like I am confused, and I'll admit I am. Maybe I was just expecting someone to fix this, to solve my problems. I was waiting for someone to make things right until I realised I was the only one who could. I needed to figure out what I wanted and what I needed, because sometimes what you want isn't what you need. And doing what you feel doesn't always mean doing the right thing" If Niall would've had to describe Maddie in one word six years ago, he would've said 'free' with no doubt. Maddie wasn't a girl who needed or wanted strings attached. She was a bird that couldn't be caged. But it was 2018 now, and things were a lot different after those six years. So what did actually change her? Or what changed between them? "...you deserve a love that listens when you sing, that supports you when you act like a fool, that respects your freedom; that accompanies you when you fly and isn't afraid to fall..." -Frida Kahlo-
