This is my first part of my first story, so all criticism is welcome and desired. When a young teen is attacked at the orphanage, his life will never be the same. James smith has had it rough since he was young: he never knew his parents, his adoptive mother was killed under mysterious circumstances, and he has been trapped in the local orphanage for the past ten years. But when a mysterious interviewer from a global power comes snooping around, he is thrown onto the street and must learn who he really is before he loses his humanity and his long lost best friend.

Datum is the story of an alien consciousness landing in a small British town in the 1980s. Told over one day, the story is narrated by the first victim, or the only survivor. I've rated my story mature due to some graphic violence, however please don't be put off as I've placed a warning before the most graphic chapter for any sensitive readers. It's the year 2314 and a new government has taken power, in order to control the outbreak of the supernatural species across the world. 'The War' shattered all governments, nations, and religions leaving the world to dissolve into anarchy before the The Elders of Lumina Achfien a board in which there is one represented from each species that control this new world. However not everyone both humans and supernatural agree with this new government. Some have escaped from it and some have managed never to get drawn into it however they fight a shadow war with The Elders eluding capture, and planning a way to take down The Edlers. Theses rebels are called închis seraph or 'the enemy'. Xenia a human under the control of The Elders is and is to marry the prince who is next in line to become an Elder. However as she learns more about the prince and the elders she doubts who to trust. Memories of her life before 'The Elders' and 'The War' start to resurface. The more she remembers the closer danger approaches from The Elders and maybe even the prince.
