17 year old Sophie is devastated when her step-brother, Adrian, rapes her. Her step-mom, Angela, is blind to her son's fault and blames Sophie for all the trouble their family has had because of Adrian's crime. Once Sophie makes it out of the abusive household, she has no money, a baby daughter, and virtually nowhere to go. She runs to her uncle, one whom she barely knows, who lives in Great Britain. Shortly after arriving, her uncle dies and she is left with his old house and several boys who knew her uncle well.
