This is the sequel to Transformed so if you have not read it i would highly recommend that you do before reading Second Bite. It has been 3 months since everything went down with the Kanima and Gerard. Even though Erica and Boyd are missing and the pack hasn't stopped looking for them, everything seems to be normal. Anna's relationship with Derek is going strong and so are her friendships with Scott, Stiles, Isaac and... Lydia? But all that is about to change. The Nogistune has been defeated, but with Derek missing the evil in Beacon Hills has only just begun.

Anna has troubles. Her parents split up a year ago and she hasn't seen her dad since. Her mom has a drinking problem and her only friends, Scott and Stiles, have been distant for the past couple of months leaving her alone. But when she finds out what they have been keeping secret she believes it to be the perfect escape from her life, but she doesn't realize what she would have to give up.
