War for fun! War for profit! War for the tangible benefits and flexible pay scheme! Given the limited career options available to me back in the people-choked hellhole that is the Arcology, becoming a mercenary - sorry, 'Corporate Defence Assistant' - seemed a very good choice at the time. Free food, free rent, free drugs and at least half of my medical bills covered is a deal anyone in my position would be crazy not to consider. All they ask in return is to stick a chip in my head, a gun in my hand and have me risk messy death somewhere for the bottom line of some faceless megacorp I've probably never heard of. If I can avoid the robots, the corporate shock troopers, the sentient vapours and the surprisingly unhappy locals I'll even get a completion bonus! Assuming my paperwork is in order. I fail to see how any of this could go wrong for me.

Antti is but a humble and worthless servant. He knows that his flesh is weak and corrupt, that he can never come close to his Lord's radiance and that, deep inside, he is incurably evil. Despite all this he serves with devotion, as to give into his nature would be to destroy himself. It is his Lord's divinely-ordained duty to cleanse the Heathen, it is Antti's duty to assist his Lord. When his Lord and Master's household comes under attack by the same Heathens that his Lord has been fighting for years, there is only one thing Antti can do: serve. Even one so profane and corrupt as he can still be useful in the grand plan. So, taking up his Lord's blessed powered-armour, that is what he does. - Inspired - obviously, right? - by Kalmah's wonderful song Evil in You. The bits are even named after the verses! The story, of course, has nothing whatsoever to do with the song. But who's keeping track? That cover picture is hilariously misleading, too. It's a double-header! Go me.

To move on from her past, an extraordinary girl must tear down the walls she has built to protect herself. Mackenzie Douglas seems to have it all: good looks, a great boyfriend, a passion for biking, and a little sister who worships her. But under the veneer of perfection lie the emotional scars of her childhood, inflicted by her father. Though her memories have faded with time, the wounds on Mac’s subconscious remain. Having vowed to never be a victim again, Mac focuses on a journey she’s always wanted to take: a summer bike trip on her amazing new RoadCap bike. But as the excursion finally gets underway, memories Mac long ago buried start to claw their way back to the surface, forcing her to confront a past she has done everything she can to forget. To prevent her sister from enduring the same trauma, Mac must let go of everything in which she’s found refuge. To break a cycle that needs to be broken, Mackenzie summons her strength and risks shattering the world she has so carefully built, exposing hidden secrets, long-told lies, and a horrific crime. Hello, Readers! It took me nine years (seriously!) to finish this YA, Dancing With the Devil, and Diversion Books has published it both digitally and in paperback versions. But guess what? I'm also putting it up here on Wattpad, free. Serialized, so it might make you crazy, but still, cool, right? And the whole thing will be here. I'm serializing twice a week every Sunday and Wednesday and the completed story will be one of the Wattpad Featured Stories starting on June 6th. You'll just have to wait to read the whole thing. After it's all up, I get to answer questions in a LIVE Q&A book club! Talking to readers will be a dream come true.
