Dan and Phil's friendship has ended. They moved out from their flat and went their separate ways. Phil has tried to keep in touch with Dan, but he never answers. All of his emails are unanswered, but that doesn't mean Dan never reads them.

"For Troye’s seventeenth birthday he gets driving lessons. Well actually more importantly, he gets Tyler Oakley." Troye Sivan has never been in love before. In fact he has only ever been in love with his laptop. Until a quirky blonde ends up driving him crazy.

Dan is the popular guy who can have anyone he wants. His friend Chris isn’t so sure about that though and makes a bet with him: By the end of term Dan has to make Phil Lester fall in love with him. A/N: There's no selfharm, no depression, no eating disorders, no character deaths, no bullying, no getting beaten up, ... Basically it's just a really cute story with minor drama, which, however, doesnt involve any of things mentioned above.

That teacher that everyone thinks is a little weird but who teaches really well: he could be one of them. The nice lady at check-out in the supermarket who's line moves faster than all the others: she could be one of them. That doctor that somehow manages to save even the most hopeless patients: he's probably one of them. It's a world where some people are a bit different than most others. Or completely different in fact, the main difference being that those people... aren't people. They are dragons. Shape-shifters, to be exact: humans with the ability to turn into dragons, adopting their form and nature for as long as they please. It's a fact unknown to most, even though there are quite a lot of them living among those so-called normal humans. Fearing being discovered, locked up in labs for studies or being used for petty war projects, the dragons hide their existance and those among them who aren't able to hide yet: namely, their young. Troye Sivan Mellet is one of those young dragons. Born the son of a dragon mother and human father, he grew up knowing everything about the existence and nature of dragons. Eventually, shortly after his 20th birthday, he'd "hatched" into a dragon himself for the first time and was sent to one of the (among dragons) most famous schools: The Nest of Seoay, in the wild sea somewhere north of Scotland. Among many others, he meets Tyler Oakley there; a grumpy, bad tempered fellow student who should have been out of there over a year ago, but apparently isn't allowed to leave. A twist of fate (or the twisted sense of humour of their principal) forces them to work closer together than either of them appreciates... At least until they discover the benefits of that forced relationship, that ends up being put to an ultimate test in which not only their own lives depend on it, but possibly the fate of the entire world...

Dan is a dancer, but it's his best kept secret. Moving to a new college results in new friends, new hobbies and a new outlook in life; but what does it really mean to be human? A series of strange and seemingly unconnected events unfold that all seem to link back to Dan's mysterious new boyfriend. etcetc phan with kickthestickz This story carries some warnings, however they're p much all spoilers except non-graphic violence and injury on one occasion, and non-described minor character death. What if you could hear them? The thoughts they deigned not reasonable enough to say out loud, the things not suitable for even a giggly teenage gossip conversation. Would it be a blessing or a curse? Troye, the unlucky teenager bestowed with this 'gift', thinks of it as a curse, with good reason. Do you know how hard it is to keep a relationship with someone when you know exactly what they think of you? Impossible. It's impossible. Or at least that's what Troye thinks, considering he's given up on even trying to make it work. He's different, people shun different. People hate different. And it's better to go under the radar, to be nothing, than to be hated. Right? Tyler, on the other hand, has taken a different approach to a similar problem. No, he can't 'read minds', but he does have a part of himself he doesn't want a soul to know about. He's quarterback, every girl's dream guy, an academic mastermind, and he's also gay. He's seen how different kids get treated, hell, he's been the one to treat them that way before. Why on Earth would he ever wish that on himself? No, it's easier to hide, to be someone you're not, than to be hated. Right?

Please note: This story is now very old (7 years old in 2020) and I'd like to think my writing has improved since then! Dan is different. He's learned to accept that. Well, as best he can anyway, considering he's never really had much of a choice. It's been this way for as long as he can remember, the constant runaround process of trying to feel normal. His life is built around it, trying to trick both himself and everyone he interacts with into seeing him as your average person. The isolation as he desperately tries to keep others from finding out, the bitterness that wells up inside of him each and every time he's reminded that he'll never be like everyone else, the fear that nothing will ever change. He's fated to be this way forever; a misfit from society. Isolation can only go so far though, so when he's struggling to make ends meet and he's faced with the option of looking into a serious job or taking on a roommate, he opts for what seems like the easier option at the time. It doesn't seem so easy ten failed roommates into the process, or when he sits down at a table to meet with prospect number eleven and ends up with a coffee spilled all over his lap. Potential roommate number eleven, Phil, turns out to be an insufferable optimistic ball of sunshine that Dan wants nothing to do with. His options are running out though, as are the savings he's been using to pay his rent, so he finds himself begrudgingly agreeing to let the other man move in. Neither of them have any way of knowing just what they've gotten themselves into as they shake on the matter, but time will tell.
