One night of pleasure can lead to a lifetime's worth of pain... ~~~ Moira was raised to become Queen, but she's more interested in riding horses and learning to bake pastries than she is in politics. An adventurous sort, Moira is quickly taken advantage of when she meets a breathtakingly handsome stranger one night by the Docks. Three days later, she's formally betrothed to the handsome, kind Crown Prince Jaron--already having betrayed him. As if that isn't enough to make Moira sick at heart, strange things begin happening, and she starts seeing monsters straight from fairytales--centaurs and snake-men and women with wings. What's worse, these creatures are hunting, and their prey is Moira herself. The only person who believes her is the sharp-eyed, sharper-tongued leader of the Izani Troupe, Inex. He has secrets of his own, though, and Moira might not be able to trust him... or anyone else.

Two spies: one a prisoner, the other a slave, each with their own agenda... When Feng got stuck in Tevora, it was a minor irritation. When he got chained up and was then unable to remove the power-canceling shackles, it was a major annoyance. In order to remove said shackles, he makes a deal with the God of Death: he'll kill Cruciatus, the God of Pain, in return for the key to his chains. But letting himself get arrested by Cruciatus' minions may lead to more complications than Feng was expecting... When Sky escaped from the Institute in which she was tortured for eleven long years, she had little reason to keep living--until her new friend Rohan told her about his plan to end Cruciatus' reign of terror. Hoping to help, she infiltrates Cruciatus' lair, only to get herself captured again... The paths of these two broken souls collide, forcing Feng and Sky to join forces in order to hunt down a set of ancient artifacts which will help them defeat the God they're both bent on killing. When forced into close contact, though, and with new enemies appearing at every turn... will either make it out alive? *Trigger warning for sexual abuse*

~It's hard to tell in the dark, if you've lost your soul or lost your heart.~ "She didn't appear to believe him--but she hadn't pulled away, her legs still around his waist, her arms still around his neck. Thorn kissed her again, long and deep, before drawing back to look into her eyes again. "I want you, little nymph," he said again. "I want to touch you and I want to kiss you and I want to taste your skin." He lowered his voice, tilting his head though he didn't break his gaze from hers. "I want to feel you--" he dipped his head closer to hers, so she'd be unable to see anything but his eyes, and his voice was a sensual caress. "I want to hear you scream, and I want to be inside you, Caelei." Her chest heaved like she was having trouble breathing, and Thorn grinned. "But, if you don't want me..." he trailed off, starting to pull away a little. Her grip tightened around him, and Thorn took that as all the agreement he needed. He fell back into her, ignoring the protests and screams of his battered body, and buried his tongue in her mouth even as his hand danced across her body, removing the barriers between them. She didn't protest, and he didn't stop--even though his body tried to kill him for it." Many things have been lost. Family, friends, emotions, humanity. Accompanying Andreas on a quest for vengeance long due, Sin is in danger of losing something she never knew she had: her heart. The only question is if she'll survive long enough to learn what that truly means...

For Rene Sparks, it all began with some ink and a knife. Two dragons, one black, the other one white, appeared from nowhere to adorn her arms when she was only eleven. Their sudden appearance and permanent stains of "imperfection" sent her teetering mother over a cliff of madness to the point where she tried to cut the abominations off Rene's arms. They were the constants in her life, the dragon tattoos and the scars that traced them. Unable to fit in with the normals of society, years later, she was placed in a boarding school for youths with mental health issues, affectionately called the Asylum by its residents. The Asylum though was no haven for the insane and Rene struggled to cling to what shred of sanity there might be left from a failing system of experimental treatments and corrupted caretakers as the tattoos on her skin continue to grow in number. Rene's life was no fairy tale and she was certainly no princess, but perhaps even an insane girl can become a hero when they have some dragons up their sleeves. ~How deep can the darkness take you... before you lose your soul?~ "Tell me," she said, because the emptiness inside was yawning, stretching, consuming and she suddenly needed something, someone, needed to feel anything other than empty. She hated being empty. And she didn't want him to be empty either. She remembered that. It was like a film had been lifted from her eyes and as she looked down at him, she understood something. With other people, she didn't have to be human. Even with Thorn, he simply knew her. Andreas made her feel human. She didn't know how to be human, didn't know what it involved or what she should do. Humans were fragile, humans could be broken, and Sin was already broken enough. But she wasn't as broken as him. And maybe it was that fact that had her reaching for him, turning so she was laying on the bed beside him, stretching so she could wrap her arms around him and hold him close to her. Maybe it was that knowledge that made her want to protect him from the world. Because she'd thought the gods cruel only to her. She'd been wrong. So she closed her eyes and breathed him in, then breathed out, releasing everything inside her until she was simply... Sin. And she whispered into his hair, softly, five more impossible words. "I can hear you screaming." Dropped into an unknown, dangerous world and thrown together by chance, two people are now in a race for survival. One, a dark sorcerer with a haunted past and a deadly reputation, and the other, a cursed assassin with a chaotic soul. Both are powerful, domineering, and arrogant. Neither are team players. And yet, they'll have to work together if they want to get out alive... that is, if they manage not to kill each other first. (A collaboration/co-write by @Michillie and @Literacy101)
