I’ve read in many books that when you’ve found love, you just know it. I never really understood how that works, I’ve never experienced that feeling and I didn’t believe in it…that is until he appeared. I knew then that my life would never be the same and even with that realization, I could never prepare myself for what was about to happen. ~~~ "I don't want them to tear us apart again." I sobbed, my voice sounding like a quivering whimper. "They won't." He gripped my arms lightly, forcing me to look into his eyes. His stern gaze searched mine in momentary silence before he spoke again. "Nothing, no one, will ever come between us again. I promise you." He emphasized the last sentence, trying to express how much he meant it. I forced a small smile before averting my gaze to the ground. I believed in him, I really did. But the unnerving knot in my stomach, the strong gut feeling I felt, told me this couldn't end well.
