Oppression, ruthlessness, gangs, this kingdom has all of the symptoms of a terrible leader. The King is responsible for every crime you could think a King could commit and then some. Our hero, Patrious, dedicated his life to killing the King in the hopes of bringing peace to his planet. Despite his life's work, he has been held captive in the Colosseum for two years being thrown into the pit again and again, amazing spectators every time with his will to survive. In the twenty second century you would think a lot is possible but not even Patrious could imagine what they would do to him next.

"In a split second decision, I fight my way through the crowd towards her. The guards respond to my movements, but I reach my sister before they reach me. Hugging her close to me, I refuse to let go. “Thea!” Gretel shrieks, tightening her skinny arms around my waist. “It’s going to fine Gretel. I promise!” I hear the guards behind me, and hold her tighter still. The two of us stand there, our arms around each other. I, in my altered state, full of tracking devices and implanted tech. Her pure, natural and untouched." Thea Granger is living in a world that revolves around technology. Everyday she must sign out of her front foor using DNA scanning software. Children, when they reach the age of 12, must submit themselves for Initiation. A firm govenment force keeps a tight grip on the citiezens of "New Earth", ensuring that everything is in it's proper place. But when Thea discovers a dark plot and a secret door, hidden behind the heavily, encrypted firewall, shadowy secets are brought to light. A mysterious man tells Thea to flee, handing her the key to shut down New Earth. With a special division unit after her, intent on ending her life and securing the key, Thea must decide: End the world as she knows it or allow it to be engulfed by the darkness...

January 1, 2015. The day that the world changed forever. Following the aftermath of a deadly nuclear war between the United States and China, an odd airborne pathogen is discovered. Scientist scramble to uncover what this virus does and find that it is a virus like no other. Once the virus starts to attack your body, you have exactly one year to live. A cure can't be found and the virus is spreading like wildfire. People are still recuperating from the nuclear war and find that there is nothing they can do to stop the virus. I was diagnosed with having the virus on January 1, 2015. My birthday was on the first and so I had just turned eighteen. What a birthday present, getting such a deadly disease, or could it somehow turn into a good thing? One year to live. I had the virus.
