"Don't do it!" The fear in his voice shook me in a way that was completely inhuman. I new this was wrong, but it had to be done. Most importantly, I had to be the one to do it. "Erica! Please!" His cries made it worse. They made me want to quit. But I couldn't quit. Quitting was something I did too often. Things changed though, and I changed with them. "I'm so sorry!" I yelled back at Indie, my eyes finding their way to the water below me. I couldn't look at him, not even if I wanted to. His face would be all too much. There would be fear, sadness because he could do nothing to help, and rage because he couldn't read me like he used to be able to. There was no way he could stop me, no matter how badly he wanted to, and that irritated him beyond belief. "Erica, please." He begged one last time. He almost sounded defeated. I ignored him. I had to. Regardless, my brain made the point that none of this would be happening if I'd just listen. But listening had never been a strong point. Placing my left foot in front of my right, I jump. Off the bridge. And into the salt water below. _____________ Erica Stellar has just recently graduated high school at the age of eighteen, her life long best friend Indie Royals by her side. Aiden, a young wizard, has the Heart of a Guardian. However, once he gains his new heart, he begins to lose his humanity, forgetting what it truly means to be human. The only thing he truly remembers is Bane, his childhood friend and partner who betrayed him, by forcing the Heart of a Guardian into him against his will. With Claira, Aiden will journey to the Summit of the Alpha mountain of Theal to find Bane and end him. On his adventure, Aiden will be able to find himself, a part of him that he lost with gaining his new heart.
