Turning on his heel, I watched his blue jacket disappear around the corner. "Craig, wait!" Finally I gained the courage to stand. My legs felt uneasy beneath me. Turning the corner that I had just watched him disappear behind I expected to see him standing there waiting for me. But, instead I was met with the dimly lit, frozen sidewalk of main street. No Craig in sight. No no one in sight. I was the odd one out. He had disappeared just like he said he would. Leaving me behind. Leaving behind his cold, sad, and crying best friend. To stand in the freshly fallen snow. "I never told you." I whispered to no one. The street lights flickered above my heard. I paid them no heed. "I never told you, that I was in love with you." Unlike in the movies I didn't get the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders. I didn't feel better. I still hadn't told him. And now. I never could.
