Just when you think everything is okay, it isn't.

Brianna is an innocent teenager who gets bullied at school, and abused by her father at home. Jeremy is a popular jock who seems to have a great life, and gets anyone and anything he wants, but his home life isn't very stable. Nerd meets Jock. Hopelessness meets Hope. Brianna meets Jeremy.

The main theme of this poem is Silence. It speaks of the abuse that children go through and how they aren't allowed to speak out about it, or they might even be murdered, in a way silencing them forever. But this kind of crime can never be hidden. The voice of truth is always heard and never ignored. This poem is a tribute to Child Abuse victim Kelsey Shelton Smith-Briggs.
