Despite the dirt and dried blood covering his skin and messy hair, the stitches holding together his split lip, and the ugly wound leftover from his life-saving lung transplant, the young nurse finds comfort in the friendship of this boy. Her mistake was evident too soon, falling for a patient. Patients are never around for long, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Will the war keep them apart, or will the two be strong enough to find their way back to each other against all odds?
