"Are you ashamed of me?" I cried. My stomach twisted. I felt vulnerable and tiny. "No" I raised my head to look into those eyes, blue with flecks of gold, and heard a sharp intake of breath. "I'm ashamed of myself for being with you." ~-~-~ ~this will not be a cliche story~ p.s. Sorry I suck at writing descriptions. I don't want to give away too much ;) I swear the story is gr8.

In Elemental magic you can be one of four magic types; water, fire, earth, and air. The only problem is Violet is none of these things. Is she what they call a magic dud, or is she something rarer, more powerful, and more dangerous than anyone could have imagined!? Teasers, "Em, most girls sneak out for a boy, you sneak out for a unicorn." I began to cry as it reached for my face."No!" I screamed. "Please No!" I went to pull back the shower curtain, but some nagging thought in the back of my head stopped me. I didn't have a little brother, so why was there a little boy in my bathroom? I gulped and with shaking hands pulled back the shower curtain. "What!? How could that be!?" I yelled, and covered my hand with my mouth. Shouting wasn't such a good idea right at this moment. If someone heard us and came up here to investigate the noise we were making, they would find a boy and a girl, a bloody knife with both their finger prints on it, and a very very dead body. "Don't touch her!" he hissed and lunged at Henry. Running through the night wearing nothing but a flimsy hospital dress, while waving a dismembered hand in his hand, was a strangeness no regular person could hope to inspire to.

NOW PUBLISHED. What does it mean to be normal? It's such a loaded word, with about a billion different meanings, and every one of them makes Ava Collins sick. At 17, Ava has been deaf for as long as she can remember. She grew up constantly reminded that she wasn't - and couldn't - be normal, that she needed to be 'fixed', but it wasn't until she met Theo De Vries that she learned the truth. Deaf doesn't mean broken, it means different. And different isn't a bad thing. _____ © Jandra Sutton. 2017. All rights reserved. ✨You hurt me again today, but that's okay because you said I deserved it.✨ Best: Short Story - #6 PLEASE READ: This short story deals with a very server topics such as self harm and bullying. It should be taken as no joke if you're a victim of bullying please say something. Your voice matters. Not all stories are fake. Life is not a cliché. The way I'm going to write this is not how your bullying story will end so you have been warned before you write nasty comments. This is a disclaimer so please do not take anything I write in this paragraph to heart...probably should've put this first... Also I do not own the image for the cover it is trust something I found on the Internet and put words on top of it.

I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

Reece Bremer goes through life with a scowl and cold personality. Jessica Andrews goes through life with a glowing smile and positive outlook. Reece looks at life with dull, judgmental eyes that make him hate the world and the people living in it. Jessica, well... She looks at life through a camera. Literally. They're polar opposites, and that's what sparks Reece's immediate hate for Jessica the moment they meet. All he sees is a girl with the best life, put in the category of those who get everything handed to them on a silver platter. But who says Jessica's life is like that? Just like a photograph, there's more to the story than what you see. Stumbling across one of Jessica's hidden portfolio might reveal that her happiness isn't all that true. Behind that smile and each picture she takes, holds a thousand words of a very big secret - one that Reece is determined to find out. And who knows? It just might change everything between them. cover by dysanic || 2015 watty's winner for talk of the town ||
