Dies ist keine Geschichte sondern ein Gedankenbuch, in welchem ich immer wieder eine neue Seite mit euch teilen werde. Es sind Momente, Situationen, Gefühle, Gedanken die ich zu beschreiben versuche. Ich kann nicht sagen, aus welchem Grund ich manche Dinge niederschreibe, was ich weiss, ist, dass ich es oft einfach irgendwo festhalten will und ich habe mich nun dazu entschlossen, euch an meinen Gedankengängen teilhaben zu lassen. This is me, written all over paper, I suggest you read my other two books of poetry before this.

A humiliating public weigh-in, with two judging parents as the audience. The announcement of a deadline for arranged marriage doom. And that's just the first two chapters. In "Year of the Chick," Romi Narindra must find love before her parents find her a husband. Easy to say, less easy to live through, as this book takes you deep inside "awkward Indian living in the West." To escape her fate, Romi wades through the waters of secret-dating, where self-consciousness is at an all-time high, and experience at an all-time low. It's the sort of thing that would turn almost anyone into a man-crazy freak with romance tunnel-vision, and that's exactly what ends up happening. All the while, a lack of inspiration in her corporate job leads Romi to her love of writing, in what quickly becomes a man-quest play-by-play. Wie konnte er mir das nur antun? Ich habe doch immer versucht alles richtig zu machen. Trotzdem hast du mich verlassen. Du weißt doch, dass ich ohne dich nicht leben kann. Und jetzt habe ich gar keinen mehr! Meine Eltern sind tot, mein Freund hat mich verlassen und ich habe keine Freunde. Ein tolles Leben oder? Doch das soll sich alles ändern, durch eine Begegnung. Eine Begegnung von der ich nie erwartet hätte, dass sie so enorme Folgen hat. Everything changes. Auch wenn ich sie alle gehasst habe, manchmal muss man lieben lernen oder? Fragt sich nur wen von diesen Chaoten. ❤

Alice lebt in London und ihre Mutter ist ziemlich reich. So heil und wunderschön Alice's Leben auch von außen hin aussieht, es ist es nicht. Es ist zerrissen, genau wie Alice selbst. Ein schrecklicher Vorfall bringt Alice dazu, zu gehen. Sie schnappt sich ihre Gitarre, ihr Textbuch und ein Foto von ihr und ihrer Hündin. Alice ging zu einem See auf den Steg. Sie war bereit, mit dem Foto ihrer Hündin am Herzen stand die dort, einen großen Stein im Arm. Sie war bereit zu sterben. Doch was ist wenn dich jemand sieht und aufhalten will. Was ist wenn es so aussieht als würde dein Leben wieder einen Sinn bekommen? Und was ist wenn du plötzlich spürst das man dich Liebt?
