Cory Queen is the only girl in the group of Newsies in Manhattan. When her drunken brother left her behind there, she's been a mess-selling papers and just being a good friend. But, the Newsies have much bigger problems to face. When a certain man raises the prices of their newspapers, the boys stir up a strike. Along with the heat of the strike, Cory faces hardships and heartbreak when a friend of hers, Davey, joins the group and when her very best friend, Jack Kelly, meets a reporter who could end up being a much larger part of their lives than she expected.
