From being the broken person into a beautiful soul. Unlike the other obligatory acts which were revealed via Jibreel (A), Allah (SWT) chose to give the Glad tidings of Salah directly to Prophet (SAW) on the night Journey of Isra-wal-Mi'raj. This was the time when he (SAW) had lost his physical support - his uncle Abu Talib, his beloved wife - Khadija (RA) and his status among the people had changed from As-Sadiq ul ameen to all sorts of nasty names ever possible, when Allah (SWT) calls Prophet (SAW) to the heavens and granted him the gift of Salah. "When anyone of you is engaged in the Prayer, he is holding an intimate conversation with his Lord." [Muslim] This is the way a believer can communicate to Allah (SWT) The One who spoke to Prophet Muhammed (SAW) on the night journey and enjoy the beauty of the conversation only Prophet Muhammed (SAW) and Prophet Musa (A) were able to taste!
