“Abduction” is een film/boek van vele raadsels, te beginnen bij de titel. Waarom een verhaal dat niets met ontvoering, kidnapping of andersoortige vrijheidsberoving te maken heeft toch op die manier aan het publiek verkocht wordt. Jazeker, de 16-jarige Nathan wordt verplicht om zich uit de voeten te maken wanneer hij per toeval zijn eigen foto ontdekt op een website van kinderen die lang geleden als vermist werden aangegeven. Die vreemde vaststelling roept een hoop vragen bij hem op. Zou het iets te maken hebben met de vreemde droom die hem al een tijdje plaagt? En is dat de reden waarom er zo weinig kinderfoto’s van hem bestaan? Het verhaal gaat verder dan de film, over je levensverwachting en dromen die uitkomen! Maar wat als het blijkt dat niet alleen je ouders een leugen waren, maar ook je hele leven. De bovennatuurlijke krachten boven het natuurlijke. Alles komt terug in dit verhaal!
