I walked down the deserted and dark halls, the graffiti on the walls morphing into unfamiliar and daunting things under the veil of darkness. I held my flashlight night in my hand, the light bouncing up and down with every twitch my hand made. "Tommy!" I yelled, and a echoing laugh rang through the torn and broken halls. "Tommy this isn't a game! We have to go!" I screamed, fear forcing tears out of my eyes. There was a movement in the corner of my eye, and I jumped, more than a slight scream escaping me. I flashed the light on the movement, but ran regardless, not bothering to examine it. It wasn't worth the risk. A laugh of sickening amusement rang through the halls and I stopped in my tracks. "You little piece of shit!" I yelled, hitting Tommy in the back of his head. "Ow!" I rolled my eyes in the darkness, but still holding my little brother close out of fear. I took a deep breath. "Lets get out of here." "Scardy cat." He muttered under his breath, and I held him by his ear. We were getting out of here. "Don't you ever do that again." I told him. "But I just wanted to show you something! My friend showed it to me yesterday! Please!" He begged, but I shook my head, though not without a twinge of couriousity escaped me. Regardless, it wasn't worth it "No, we're going home." I stated, and continued timidly walking down the halls of the barren asylum. "Pleeeeeeeease its really cool." He said, but I shook my head. "I promise we'll come tomorrow." I compromised, "During the day." "Fiiiiiine." He said, and we walked out of the abandoned asylum that day without a scratch. It would be the first, and only time.
