In the modern world, the Zodiac Council has been sent down to earth to deal with (meddle with) the mortals' lives. They do this for one reason: to gain the ancient relic that has given all immortals power. They choose mortals born under their sign to go find it, and Vidia and Percival (along with some other friends) are caught in the middle of this dilemma.
