Previously titled (The Shy Girl's A STREET FIGHTER) Sam Winters is the quiet, well-known girl at school. It isn't a cliché school, nor is it completely boring. She attends Lake Genevieve High just like any student there, but she hurts far worse. Her mother died when Sam was twelve, leaving her broken and with a distant father. To the public eye, they are the perfect family. Her dad, a hot-shot lawyer, and her little siblings, all poor, little babies who have a doting father and absent mother, are the most well-liked family in their society. Keeping up this image became too much to bear, and Sam had no choice but let out her feelings somehow. At the age of fourteen, she picked up her first pair of boxing gloves. Since then, she's been the undefeated champion of the Underground fighting rings, where her name is whispered; her reputation known. Cue the entrance of the "bad boy." No, he isn't really one. But the people of Lake Genevieve need some source of entertainment. So they hype him up. The brother of Andy, the Golden Boy, is named Alex. On the outside, he's a sweet guy with a bubbly personality and the looks to go with it. On the inside, however, is a boy who is hurting far more than he should be. Put Sam and Alex together, and you have a formidable pair of stubborn people, who butt heads at any chance they get. Sam is closed-off and doesn't trust easily, while Alex is determined to learn everything about her. Read on to see what happens (:

Being raised by 5 brothers wasnt easy. I grew up to be a tomboy, playing sports, watching the games on TV, and hanging out with the guys. I was always on easy target for bullies, especially boys. They would make fun of my curveless body and the way I dressed, and also made rumors up about me. So when I was offered the chance to go to school in Paris for 2 years I jumped at the opprotunity to leave this place. 2 years later and here I am, all grown up. Im not that little girl that they all remember. It wasnt my plan to get revenge, but they all just made it way too easy. With the help of my bestfriend Im going to have the boys wanting to date me and the girls wanting to be me.

His hands got caught in my hair as he kissed me harder. Our tongues danced together and he shoved me up against the wall. My fingernails scraped down his bare back and he lifted me up to wrap my legs around his waist. He kissed a trail down to my neck and then froze. “You’ve been smoking.” He said pulling away from me. I sighed as he set me down and took a step away from me. “I smoked once today, ok? It’s not that big of a deal.” “Lissa!” Jace shouted at me. “You promised you’d stop! You said you were done with drugs a long time ago.” “I promised a lot of things that I never did!” I screamed back him. He raked his hands through his hair and started pacing. “Drugs aren’t good for you, Lissa. You need to stop.” “You can’t control my life.” I snapped. “I won’t be with you if you’re too high to remember any of it.” “Then maybe I’ll go back with Trey.” **** Lissa finally decides to go back to her families vacation house for the summer. She’d always been treated as ‘one of the boys’ by the other kids who went to the vacation house. The twins were finally eighteen and had convinced all of the parents to let the teenagers spend time at the house for the summer. Trey and Jace, the good lucking twins, haven’t seen Melissa in two years because she’d been skipping the family vacation even though her own twin Ian had tagged along. They remember her as the slightly chubby, underdeveloped, nerdy girl that they treated like a brother; but boy are they in for a surprise when she walks in the door looking completely different. She also has another secret neither of them knows about, how shocked will they be when they find out? With all of their longtime friends, the beach, the sun, and the freedom they’re sure to get into loads of trouble, and fun. But will romance ruin a friendship? This is the sequel to The Cheerleader and The Bad Boy. Although reading that book is not necessary to read this one.
