A mask of silence falls over everyone, a result of the sight of the gun. After about a minute, the gun's bullet peirces through the air with a loud crack. I take off sprinting away from the loud screams telling me to run. My breath is heavy as my feet pound the ground in attempt to escape. I hear my heart beating loudly in my ears, threatening to burst. My lungs burning, gasping for more air. I glance behind me only to see my pursuers gaining on me, inching closer every second. Run faster, I think, as I urge my legs to push forward. Screams echo deep in my head, my vision blurring.
