The Missing Pieces

She loved to go to the plains when she wanted to think and clear her head. She loved it, especially in the summer time. Although she was born in the fall, Emma always was a summer baby. Just the way the sun felt beaming down on her skin, the way the warm breeze made her feel like she was in some sort of heaven.

This is a short, short story about a woman who has travelled all of her life and never been married-- or in love for that matter. She finds herself on a boardwalk in Australia with a broken bike, and the rest is history.
