Hey guyss! Alright so,..this is the official The American Dream: The NOVEL. I consider "An Urban Story: The American Dream" more like the prologue to this all. It's a short story so it introduced you to the character's and sort of gave the back drop of how they even got to this point...so if you haven't ready that...I highly recommend that you do because it'll give you a better understanding (link below). I've been trying so hard to perfect it, but I don't wanna keep y'all waiting so I just posted a simple chapter and i'll try to update this everyday if I can.. I look forward to seeing your feedback and opinions. I hope you enjoy this..it will be long..keep in mind that this is a marathon now and not a sprint so give it a chance :) Part 1 http://www.wattpad.com/story/6521374-an-urban-story-the-american-dream Happy Reading! - Tee Da Boss

It's been four years. Four years since Mindless Behavior met fame. Four years since Jayden starting going to rehab. Four years since everybody went off the college. Four years since the infamous split between Aliyah and Jacob. Things have certainly changed, some for the better, and some...not so much. But is it too late for second chances? Adorned Flames is the final installment in the Housekeeper series, and will reveal whether or not second chances can exist in the love saga that is Jacob and Aliyah.

Compton changed everything. In Riverdale, I used to be able to walk outside at night without having to worry about anything happening to me. I could walk outside in broad daylight and wouldn't have to worry about drive-by's. I used to be able to come home and be able to rely on a homemade meal made by mother-and my father sitting on the couch with her. But now, everything's changed. My dad dipped out on me and my mom, my mom and I are struggling to make ends meet, and I'm in these streets. Never would I imagined that myself, Egypt, would be out on the streets selling drugs to support myself. But if it helps me support me and my mother, I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Now I have responsibilities that I would've never expected, and people depend on me more than ever before. © all rights reserved // livythecreator

Being born in Chicago ain’t easy. Everywhere you turn, guns, violence—it’s hard not getting caught up in all of that. Everyday somebody else dying, and there really ain’t nothing you can do about it. Ain’t nobody try to get in that stuff on purpose, it just happens. When it happens, you stuck with it for life—the only way out is death. Here, choices here just ain’t that black and white. You either chose the life, it just catches up with you somehow; a shade of grey. My brother, Rajeem, was a good example. He was a little black boy that got caught up in the wrong crowd. My momma always told him to ‘be good’ and ‘don’t get caught up’. He didn’t listen. One day he did get caught up, and that’s one of the reasons that on one Sunday morning, we found him bloody in our driveway, face down. Ever since my brother passed away, I made it my promise to end Chiraq. I wanted to end this gun violence once and for all. It sounds hard, but I think that I can do it. But with my peer's influences, it makes it much more difficult. I've always been the one to get caught up in peer pressure, but I listen to my mom's words everyday. "Be good and don’t get caught up." Lord knows I'm trying. © all rights reserved // livythecreator
