(Editing as well as posting new chapters) Ellis is a southerner who grew up right in Savannah. Nick is a conman from Boston who was on a business trip to Savannah for some reason, he theorizes. Once the infection hits and Nick is making his way through the hotel, he finds the southerner, and it seems the hick's fallen in love immediately. Will their love survive the zombie apocalypse?

*Based on the left 4 dead series (1 & 2)* Two months after the first infection of the green flu, survivors Nick and Ellis are the two last party members standing, and for all they know, the last two people wherever they are. They try to escape, meeting many others and seeing many die on their escapade, both of the men questioning how they maintained their sanities. Although, if you asked, it would have an easy answer: Each other.

Ellis and his friends Rochelle, Nick, and Coach have been fighting for their lives since the zombie apocalypse has started. After the bridge blows up in New Orleans and they safely get into the helicopter, the four find themselves at a military base in a secure area in Louisiana with other survivors. Seeing three familiar faces, Zoey, Louis, and Francis, it seems they might be able to settle down and not have to worry about the zombies coming after them for once. However, Ellis soon gets these weird feelings when he is around Nick. His heart flutters, he stutters on his words, different things he never noticed due to the adrenaline of killing zombies. Will Ellis's school-girl crush on Zoey last, or will another form of love rise through the blood and guts? (Currently editing and still creating chapters! I first started writing this when I was 14, so grammar and such is not that good in the first few chapters. However, please read on and enjoy the story!!!) Yet, I just can't stay away from the kid. I sometimes stay awake at night thinking about how good he would look down on his hands and knees. Or I don't want to wake up because I'm dreaming about him with his overalls around his feet instead of his waist. He may be annoying yes but, even his tall tales of 'one time, me and my buddy Keith...' stories still somewhat satisfy my persistent hunger to just hear his thick southern drawl. And that drunken kiss only made "that feeling" 10 times worse.
