“925 miles is a long way to go for one girl,” Mary says, chewing on her bottom lip. “Well, you’re a spectacular girl.” And Mary only frowns and tries to blink away the gathering tears. “Perhaps I’m not as spectacular as you think.”

The woman was sitting and had her back against a near-by wall, and from what I could see, her eyes were wide and she was shaking. I would be too, if I wasn't paralyzed. Literally. A few hours later, well, just about 20 seconds in reality, she slowly stood up and observed me with horror in her eyes for a few moments. I looked back at her, seeing as that was the only thing I could do to let her know I was still alive. "Dear lord, child, what have you done?" She whispered, looking down at me. "I need..."
