Atsuko is described as amazingly talented and is referred to as "the next Maeda Atsuko" (Maeda Atsuko is the legendary centernova of Akb0048). During their journey to stardom, they meet 10 other girls. All 12 girls have been selected to be in a new kenkyuusei group unit of Akb0048 named IRIS and succeed NONAME.
