Eri Zayaka is the last of her bloodline and the last user of her clan's kekkai genkai. When she finds her way into Konoha to escape the same fate as the rest of her clan, she falls into the safe and capable hands of the Copy Ninja, Kakashi Hatake. Eri eventually earns the trust of the new village and proves herself as a talented and capable kunoichi, but not without the consistent and assuring help of the man who initially kept her safe. He grows a special compassion for the lonely woman, and in doing so he realizes his own loneliness and how much she filled that strange and unfamiliar hole in his heart. [this story exists on a similar time frame to the original series, but it takes place on an alternate timeline, so some events may have occurred in Naruto, and some may have changed.
