~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It started out innocent enough. A red rose tied with black ribbon here, an eloquently written note there. Sometimes she would even find sheet music filled with the most captivating melody she had ever heard. But when her mysterious Giver of Gifts makes his intentions known, and The Phantom reeks havoc, she flees to her Angel of Music... Only to find them all one and the same. Trapped, she becomes incapable of escape, and is kidnapped in a matter of mere seconds. Haunting music floats through the beautiful mansion where she is held captive against her will. On a promise loosely made, she finds herself treated like a queen in return for letting a fire consume her like never before... This isn't being held hostage. This is Captivity Defined.
(A PHANFICTION, COMPLETED) Christine needed his music, to be lost in it. To be succumbed and seduced in its dark, tantalizing pull. She needed to see his blue eyes, his eyes that both threaten and adore, those eyes that reflect all the cruelty and heartache of the world. To feel the rush and the thrill his music brought her. To feel the rush and thrill he brought her. She needed-- She needed her angel.
|| A Phantom Of The Opera One Shot || It's silly, I know, to daydream about the very person who burned down the first Opéra Populaire. I work in the second Opéra Populaire now, the one that was born from the ashes, so it is even more silly to yearn for the man who had burned down the place I work and love so much. But, can I help it? Is it truly that big of a surprise for a silly girl to dream silly dreams? What harm can it do? After all, they are only dreams.
Approaching the old opera house was much more difficult than Christine Daaé had imagined. Not because of the fallen debris, or the scorched marble staircase she had to climb to reach the top. Nor was it the bittersweet memories that began to flash through a deep and pushed away piece of her consciousness when she managed to open the door that lead inside. No, what was difficult was the task she had set for herself, the entire reason she was there: to find Erik. (Editing)
"Christine, I love you." The phantom's voice played a sweet tune in my mind. It was the first time he had confessed his love, but sadly, I couldn't return the favor. He had given me everything, fame, fortune, and a life of excitement and curiosity. Still, he had threatened to hang my beloved Raoul and sentence me to an eternity locked away from the world. My clammy hands shook with emotion as I slid the beautiful, diamond ring off my finger. The disfigured man helplessly gazed into my eyes, transforming my soul. I was the only one to look past his hideous physical appearance, to know how to comfort a creature of darkness; I couldn't bare holding in my emotions any longer. Tears plunged down my pale cheeks and I looked down to take his hand. Making sure not to drop the small item, I closed his rough fingers around the ring. "Goodbye," all sadness echoing through my word. I spun around and dragged my wedding dress through the foggy water to meet Raoul's awaiting boat. *** UPDATE 2020: Hello, all! I realized that this book recently gained traction in the fanfic world of Wattpad, again. Unfortunately, I wrote this back in 2014 and have yet to go through and edit. At one point, I planned on making a sequel to this. I don't expect to do so any time soon, but I appreciate the reads and the comments!
|| Book 1 of The Shadow's Melody || As a maid here at the new Opéra Populaire I can certainly sense something different. Something missing. It lacked him. The Opera Ghost who disappeared. I know I should let it go. I know I shouldn't constantly think about a dead man. A murderer. But I simply can't. I can't forget about that man I fell in love with those many years ago. I yearned to hear his angelic voice again. I begged for it. Hoped for it. Prayed for it. I called for him in my dreams. The man they called The Phantom of the Opera. I would never have guessed that my hopes and prayers would soon be answered.
