This is an older ghost story of mine. It was inspired by a true story of a young man who died of alcohol poisoning as part of a fraternity hazing ritual. Supposedly on Halloween a bunch of other college kids dressed up as him when they went out partying on the streets of the college town. After hearing this story I wondered...what if "Doug" was among the revelers... Names and all identifying details have been changed. I've marked this story for mature audiences because of the subject matter.

A Christmas ghost story. Ghosts are usually associate with old places which have a lot of history, but a building doesn't have to be ancient to have the kind of history that might involve a ghost. This story was originally posted on my blog as a single piece. Because it's a very long story (nearly 10,000 words), I've broken it into 5 parts for Wattpad readers. The narrative moves back and forth between the present and the past, so most of the chapter breaks follow natural breaks in the text. I'm posting the parts on 5 consecutive days. Enjoy!
