"What's going on?" "Nothing. Please just keep jogging or something." "What're you hiding, Kelsey?" Her eyes searched mine, then very slowly she gave in. "Um...if I tell you...can you promise that you won't be angry? And that you won't freak out and punch the poor guy?" "Why would I...are you cheating on Jason?" "What?" "Is that guy the person you're cheating on Jason with?" I demanded angrily. "He has been nothing but good to you, Kelsey, how could you just cheat on him? He's a good guy!" "No! Ryder, that's not what this is!" For whatever reason, I believed her. "Fine," I said eventually. "I swear not to punch the guy if you tell me what's going on." "Um...it'd be kind of easier to show you than to tell you." I walked with Kelsey around the bench, and the guy stood up, looking down at me with very familiar eyes. Corey. I was looking up at Corey. Sorry Kelsey. And then I punched him. Book two, following A Bad Boy's Worst Nightmare. It's been almost a year since Corey left, leaving Ryder completely broken and alone. Now, he appears to be back once she sees him in the park. But when she's made to understand that the boy is in fact Corey's twin brother, she allows herself to let her guard down a little. But could trusting the brother of the boy that destroyed her heart really be the best idea? Or would he be just like his brother--the complete and total destruction of everything decent in Ryder's life?

She didn't reply and I felt her finger move across my skin, lower, and almost all the way down my lower back. A shiver coursed through my body, strangely pleasant, and I felt her finger stop. "Your tattoos are beautiful," she said softly. Too close. She was too close. My pulse was hammering and I could feel her cool breath against my skin when she spoke, and my body was warm from having felt her. I couldn't reply. My breathing was light and shaken. I wanted to just turn around and pull her against me, or rather put her against a wall, so I could kiss her and feel her more properly against me. If she touched me again, I wasn't sure that I could keep myself from doing just that. "I'm going to take a shower," I said suddenly in an attempt to escape. She didn't stop me, so I took that opportunity to walk away. When I reached the bathroom, I took a deep breath to steady myself as well as my pulse. Closing the door behind me, I ran a hand through my hair. She truly was a nightmare. A bad boy's worst nightmare was a girl that made him want to be a good one.

[ARCHIVED 2018] "Why are you so obsessed with me?" I asked his dark silhouette. My bottom lip quivered as he turned around to face me. The hair on the back of my neck rised in anticipation as he scanned me. He took a few steps closer. I shivered as his fingers touched my collarbone. I let out an uneven breath as his fingers began to trail down up my neck. "You're the woman that was made for me, you belong to me." He paused and wrapped his hand in cup motion behind my neck hoisting me towards him. "You're mine." I darted my eyes up to his and I closed my eyes. "Then why are you doing this to me?" I asked in exhaustion. I felt his hand grip my forearm tightly and I let out a choked up gasp. "P-Please..." I whimpered. "You wouldn't love me otherwise." He paused. "You're too good for me and I can't lose you." His hands gripped at my waist bringing him closer to me. "I need to make sure I know what you do.." He began. "Where you do it, how you do it-every little thing you do I need to know." He ended at a stern note. "You're mine...you're my obsession." He whispered pushing me back to fall onto the floor. "Learn that and I won't have to teach you."
