A short extract from a history of the second American civil war written in 2054

Joshua Oak has been deployed to Vietnam to help deserve in the armed conflict between the enraged country with the United States. Josh and the platoon are surrounded in the deep jungles of Vietnam by the infamous Vietcong. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, nowhere to escape certain death. Out of nowhere a grenade lands in Joshua's improvised bunker and kills everyone except for Josh and his fellow comrade Charlie.
