It's Xiumin's second year in the same high school and not a lot of people notice him. He's more like that person who doesn't talk to a lot of people. He's socially awkward and doesn't know how to react to certain situations too well. Xiumin has low self-esteem in himself and gets bullied on a regular basis, when someone from another class notices Xiumin and instantly finds himself attracted to him.

Luhan is new to the neighborhood he moves too and wants to try and make as many friends as possible in this new environment. Luhan moves next door to a family with a single mother and a son. Wanting to be the son's friend, he finds out the son has Agoraphobia (a fear of going outside) and has no friends at all. Compared to himself who wants many friends since he's new, this boy doesn't have even one, and he's lived there all his life. Luhan's goal at first was to be the boys friend, and help him overcome his phobia, but learns to like the boy and starts having feelings for him.
