A oneshot written for the Sherlock Valentine's day challenge. I always felt that Mycroft got too little love...like, seriously, he is such an awesome character. So many layers. So well thought out. *squeals* This one isn't too deep though, so if you love fluff, short reads, and Mycroft you've come to the right place. 16 year old, Chanel Ryder, lives a wonderful life. Her parents are wealthy, she's popular, and she's an only child. She gets whatever she wants, whenever she wants, including for spring break a trip to Paris, France. However, on their flight back from France the plane crashes. Her mother and father both died in the crash, she is now the only living relative. When she makes it back to New York City, her father's best friend is the one who is written in the will to take care of her if anything like this should happen. She has never met her father's best friend or his family and is quite nervous at the fact of living with them. Her father has told her that he has many children and that they live on a ranch in a small town in Texas. What will it be like there? Definitely nothing like New York, will she even fit in? Will she like her father's best friend's children? Does he have any daughters? Will they even accept her? Will she end up crying herself to sleep every night?
