Just a short story I wrote for class. The max word count was 1000 words so this is extremely short, but I wanted to post it here!

It’s that time of the year again. For lovers, it is the time to celebrate love. For single people, it is the time to be hopeful to find someone someday. For businessmen, it is the time to sell sweetness at a reasonable price. But for recent dumpees like me, it is nothing but pure horrible hell. Ugh. Valentine’s Day.

Matagal nang magkaibigan sina Jep at Zai. Sort of. Ang natatanging bonding nila, ang pagge-get together sa bawat breakup ni Jep. Si Jep, na nag-iipon ng Ex-Girlfriend. Si Zai, na naglilista ng mga Ex niya. Ang tawag ni Jep dito, documentation. Ang tawag ni Zai, The Ex-Girlfriend Chronicles. Gusto mong makita yung listahan nila? Basa na!

Sometimes I wish I had arms so I can wrap it around her shoulders. I wish I had fingers so I can hold her hand in mine. I wish I had a tongue that can tell her how beautiful I think she is, no matter the time of day. I wish I had lips so I can kiss her again and again. Maybe then, I could make her feel less alone.
