When Reece Macpherson was thirteen, she fell in love. Not with someone her own age but with her oldest brother's best friend, Kane Jackson, who was four years older than her. But this wasn't just a one-sided thing. He loved her, too. At least that's what she thought. Now four years later, Reece is 'little miss player' at school, going out with two or three different boys every week. She was just looking to have fun and not commitment. Ever since Kane broke her heart and moved all the way across the country to go to college and play basketball, Reece had never thought that love could be real. Reece never expected to see Kane again...until she walked into class after Christmas break of her senior year and found out that he was her new teacher and boys' basketball coach! But teaching isn't the only reason why Kane came back... And he's keeping a bigger secret than even Reece could have imagined.

{ Watty 2015 Winner + Featured Story } Meet Sawyer Jameson. On the outside, she's a normal seventeen year old girl with amazing friends, a charitable job and a loving family. She's beautiful, funny and easy to get along with and just by looking at her, you'd think that she's the perfect girl, living in the perfect world. On the inside though, just waking up and living her day-to-day life is a struggle for Sawyer. Well, aware of this fact, Sawyer's mother forces to see a psychiatrist after school on a daily basis in order to cope with the tragic events Sawyer encountered a year prior. Now meet Graham Cambridge. Those who don't know him could easily stereotype him as being a blunt, selfish, egotistical golden boy, just because he likes to party and play football. Those who actually know him though know that he's actually quite the opposite of all of those things. When Graham transfers from his elite prep school to Sawyer's high school and quickly takes an interest in her, things go from bad to worse. At least, that's what Sawyer's convinced herself of. What people don't realize though is that maybe they were wrong about Graham Cambridge and that his life is about as far from perfect as they come and that he and Sawyer are alike in more ways than one. Two completely different teenagers that maybe aren't all that different after all are about to embark on a wild ride that neither of them could have ever expected. Can they help each other get past their demented previous tragedies? Or are their bygones too great to ever escape them? And can Sawyer ever truly be saved? Full of romance, heartbreak and just a little bit of fate, the next couple of months will challenge both Sawyer and Graham in ways they never thought possible. And maybe, just maybe, something beautiful will come out of it. © Copyright 2013 Millie Morgan. All Rights Reserved.

In letters to "Emily Rose," an expectant mother chronicles the nine months leading up to her daughter's birth. The journey begins with the word "pregnant" in late autumn and continues through three more seasons, two small towns, and many unforeseeable challenges. Through it all, those little kicks and flutters give her a warm sense of direction in a world that can be, at times, cold and unpredictable. By documenting her experiences, this mother hopes to preserve the precious memories, and make peace with her mistakes and the things she cannot change. And someday she will share this story with Emily Rose, when she, too, is faced with the challenge of becoming a woman and mother. This story was originally published on the parenting blog, http://sisterschance.blogspot.com (see External Link). Ready for a new adventure, it became @Fairytale_Fabler's icebreaker piece at the start of her Wattpad enterprise and it has since been listed on the Stories4Mom reading list. Soon after the "Little Peach" Mother's Day update, it became a Wattpad Featured Story. And like mother and child, their true story even has a story, one that began as a good idea (and a unique opportunity for self-reflection) and developed over the years into something stronger and wiser. Thank you for such overwhelming love and support. @nonfiction / WOMEN'S VOICES reading list
