Deep in the Maine wilderness it's kill or be killed. Although the third World War that resulted in the destruction of humanity world wide took place over half a century ago, the last survivors are the results of their parents who learned to quickly adapt and depend only on themselves. Bands of rogue humans act as packs of feral dogs as they clash with other rogue bands to fight for food, weapons, tools, and even women and children. The larger bands are determined to begin the next civilizations, and they need other people to make Ddfgbgvcghen this happen. Unaware of how she has survived on her own for ten years, Blair and her wild-dog companion Tut reside in a hidden den, slowly becoming more aware of the advanced warfare that the other bands are capable of. As if striving to survive as a seventeen year old girl in a world overcome with death and disaster wasn't hard enough, Blair is now forced in the midst of a war as the two largest bands in the area meet in a bloody battle.
