Dan Howell is an insomniac....who's scared of the dark. Only a little bit. One late night (or early morning), he decides to venture out and explore London at its quietest. He meets Phil Lester at an all-night coffee shop, and the two quickly become friends. As the friendship continues to grow, Dan has to begin facing his issues, and his feelings for Phil.

Phil is an orphan, bullied, and living alone with no friends in a home. He does his best not to let that fact that no one seems to care about him get to him, but it's getting harder. Then a nice couple start to take interest in him, and it turns out they have a son his age, Daniel, but the love they begin to share isn't of a brotherly nature...

Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

But when he moves to his new school, everything changes and phil is brought up to dan and his friend amelia for a school project. but phil hides a secret: he can navigate through people's memories and communicate by thought. a secret that could be dangerous. that could be used for evil if found out. so when he starts getting sudden atention, he struggles with keeping his secret safe and things go take a turn for the worst when someone finds out his secret and threatens to expose it. his secret might be in danger and so may him and his friends.
