This is a book of a little 3 year old girl who is in an orphanage. Her life changes when her birth mother Lana Parrilla comes to get her and takes her back. One problem, Maddie doesn't want her mom at all. Will she warm up to her? Will there be romance in Lana's life? More kids?

Set during the big storm in season 1, Regina finds Emma out in the freezing rain and reluctantly offers Emma a ride. However, what Emma didn't realize was that ride is only to Regina's house. Due to the strength of the storm, both Emma and Regina conclude it would be best if Emma were to wait out the storm.
