Annelise lives a normal, slightly hectic life like any other college student does. There's only one difference : she's an Assassin by night. (cliche, yes yes, but you gotta read it cause it's bit different.) The thing is, she doesn't kill the people she's assigned to get. She lives as peacefully as anyone with a double life does. That is, until someone in the assassin's network starts giving out many assssin's real names and, for some, it starts showing their pictures. Fingers start pointing at her, and the rest is history.

After the nuclear war with North Korea I truly have no idea how there is any trace of man kind left on the planet. But those who died during that battle that lasted no longer than a few hours were the lucky ones. They were subjected to instant deaths, and in my eyes and the world I now live in, that is the meaning of lucky. We found home in a small military outpost just south-west of London, we found comfort in it and it is now my home. A world plunged into a nuclear war, one man must be brave enough to rise up against the evils that have spawned on the surface of the Earth. He must be wise enough to lead a group of survivors to safety. He must be smart enough to find a safe place in this world, and I'm afraid that person is me. Dimitri Jones, after the loss of his wife must find a purpose in life again; He must face ferocious foes such as infected flesh eating homo-sapiens. Animals and insects which have evolved and mutated to become carnivorous, all in his discovery for a safe place, and that's just the beginning. A striking coming of age story about self discovery, freedom, safety and love. Prologue extract: There was blood on my hands, a deep crimson liquid slowly dripping down my arms from the scratches and gashes caused by savage teeth. It was sick. No man should ever have to go through what I have just done. I keep telling myself over and over again that I didn't have a choice. Maybe eventually I'll believe it. Although deep down, I know I didn't have either a say or a choice; it was either them, or me.

I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

Gray leggings, gray tops, gray skirt, check..check...and check. Gray make-up, gray boots. Check. Gray backpack, gray case, gray...eyes. Check..check...and check not. This is my daily morning routine, just like when a teacher makes sure she has her students' tests before leaving the house, a boxer who makes sure he does 20 push-ups before the match, or a hero who's job is to secure people against any harm. Well not really, there isn't any harm going to happen. It's just a colour that I'm so into that's all, what sort of harm could be caused? So you could simply see I have this major obsession over basically anything that's gray or....anyone...? The name's Veronica Caruthers. I was 16 when I fell in love when my kidnapper, my parents threaten me if I go with him I'll never return to them. And I went, but when my life turns upside down., trying to chase life away and it's a wish I wished I hadn't wished for....

Okie's fifteen. She lives in New York. She's got a few problems: she's failing geography, her dad's a wimp, and her mother, Sumatra, is a stone cold bitch. But things get a lot worse when Sumatra turns into a zombie and eats Okie's dad. Clio, Okie's grandmother, lives in Toronto; but since the zombie apocalypse, Toronto's a lot further away than it used to be. Clio suggests that Okie transport Sumatra across the border, because family is family. But coaching Okie by cellphone isn't easy, and Clio has some zombies of her own to contend with. Luckily she has some garden tools. Naomi Alderman and Margaret Atwood team up for this unusual two-hander. Encompassing love, death, sex, and the meaning of family, The Happy Zombie Sunrise Home will surprise, delight, and convince you of the vital importance of keeping ready supplies of rhubarb and mini-wieners in your freezer at all times. The story unfolds beginning October 24.
