Dan Howell is a good boy. He spends most of his time studying and does all his homework. Phil Lester is a bad boy. He's failed nearly every class, and sleeps with a different person nearly every night. Only once Phil makes a bet and a school project is assigned do their paths cross. Daniel Howell had been living on his own for 3 and a half years. He did everything by himself. Videogames, to buying food, to paying rent, to working his job as a male prostitute. He didn't feel like he needed company, but there was a complete void in his soul that he wanted to fill; fill so he wouldn't have to live through constant pain every day and night. He was judged for his job by many, many lads but he didn't care about them. He did this to live. To survive off of the food he bought with his low paid job. And then he meets Phil. And he has the most beautiful, electric blue eyes. He could send tingles down Dan's spine, as if a lighting bolt had made his way to his back, tapping it lightly. And the way his beautiful, pink lips moved slowly as he talked. And his deep voice, god that deep voice. Dan wanted to be perfect for Phil. He wanted to run his fingers through that jet-black hair, and bite his pale neck, and stare into his eyes all day. But would that even happen?

Phil Lester is the sweetest first year at Hogwarts. He's known by every house to be kind and goofy. Dan Howell, on the other hand is sarcastic and closed off, and has some infamous heritage, but not a single soul to confide in, and is an outcast, even in Slytherin. Fate takes a turn for the better when Dan is booted to the back of the potions classroom for his sarcastic mouth, landing next to the intriguing Hufflepuff he had heard so much about. But Hogwarts is not the utopia they had imagined. Death Eaters have over run the school, and suddenly the students are the playthings of murdurers. But then, in a stroke of luck, they stumble across the infamous group of rebels, and are soon tangled up in a dangeous dance of resistance, both playing key roles in Hogwarts' future, all while trying to untangle thier feelings for each other. (It's a Phan at Hogwarts, in case you didn't catch that, and to make it more Interesting, their first year is the year of the battle at Hogwarts so like it's intense. Ive included a bunch of people like Neville, Ginny, and Luna, some other You Tubers, and a couple of OCs! )

Phil Lester is depressed and suicidal, so his mom makes him go to therapy. There he meets Dan Howell, another depressed boy. The two get along, and sparks fly.

After Dan Howell dies at the tragically young age of 26, he is greeted by death with a book. A book of every lie that anyone had ever told him. This seems like harmless fun but as he nears the end, he realized everything isn't as it seemed in life with his best friend, Phil Lester.
