Death or Redemption? They are called the Disposable Heroes-reckless, desperate volunteers recruited by EarthCoalition to destroy a horrible galaxy-wide infection. Based on the spaceship Judicator, it consists of four brutal ex-cons who do all of the grunt work, working for their payment: freedom. When the Judicator is sent to a massive space station, Deep Space Station Gateway, the team finds an infected hive, the largest in history, with nearly a thousand hapless humans snuffed out. The team's mission: to destroy the infection while leaving the station intact. The mission seems like suicide to the hunters and their small support staff. And that is perfectly fine for EarthCoalition...which wants no witnesses left to the terrifying secret of D.S. Gateway.
