A contemporary southern gothic mystery series about a teenager who discovers a cache of centuries-old letters containing clues to crimes happening in the present day. READERS CHOOSE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! Parish Mail is written like a TV series–there are over-arching mystery and romantic story arcs that extend between the episodes, while each episode has a smaller case that is presented and solved. Along the way, I will asks you, the reader, to make several small decisions as you read. These choices do not impact the overarching storyline, but certain combinations “unlock” clues to the series’ mystery, which are embedded in the text.

Wren's life in New York City is a normal one, ordinary, or at least it was. Living with her aunt, uncle and housekeeper she's happy, until it all changes. It starts with strange symptoms, the feeling of being watched, she even thinks that she may be dying. Then she discovers that she was a part of a genetic experiment to create an army of super soldiers; and that she's not alone. Bonds of friendship, and maybe even something more, are made. She also discovers that the people who created her are also hunting for her and her friends, and they are willing to do anything to get them back. When Wren and her friends are betrayed and discovered there is only one thing left to do, fight back. Can they win their right to live free, or will they die trying? (It's a book with mutants, action and romance. I'm not good at descriptions.)

Nothing good happens after midnight; that’s what my dad always used to say. It was 12:01 when I found him, and 12:14 the day he left. My mother had always raised me around strays she’d taken in; dogs, cats, the occasional bird or monkey. I was used to lives apart from my own popping in and out randomly. Jake had never felt that way to me, though. Something in my gut from the moment I saw him told me his life was colliding with mine for a reason. But…I still haven’t figured out what that reason was.
