Hugo Banks, notorious pothead and self-loathing RA, has been struggling since freshman year to land a respectable spot on his school's newspaper. Tasked with parking lot paving coverage and boring custodial interviews, Hugo has become journalism's biggest joke. That is, until he attends a show written by the ingenious playwright and composer, Leonardo Cortés. Suddenly, Hugo finds himself in the middle of a prodigy's plagiarism scandal discovered by none other than, well, Hugo. On one side, he now has the exact story he needed to finally gain some well-deserved recognition, but on the other side stands Leo, on the brink of a mental breakdown and pounding on Hugo's door at 3 AM.
