Rue is a witch. She was born from a fallen star just like all the other witches are. But hers fell into a pond, making her technically a swamp witch. And no one wants to come see a swamp witch. Especially not one with no actual swamp. All she has is a pond hidden deep in the mountains, where no humans or magical creatures pass through. So Rue spends her days by the pond she was born in and the surrounding forest gathering mushrooms and talking to frogs. Her spells are all practical for her life and sometimes experimental for fun. But she rarely gets a customer for a potion and she's never been invited to a gathering. Her life has always been simple, if not a little lonely, yet peaceful. And then a Death Cap sprouts up by her pond. Bringing chaos with him. Typical of a poisonous fungus to cause trouble. ~~ "Personally, I think you should find another pond." I said with a huff, looking over the strange man who's been murking up my pond for the past few days. His yellow eyes cut into me, slight sneer on his lips, "you're a witch aren't you?" "Yup!" I replied, prodding the mud with my toe. "And witches take clients for spells." "Sounds about right." I nodded. "Then give me the fucking spell." He growled out. I arched a brow at him. "You're not my client." "You-" "No." I replied sweetly, "Go away I don't like you, you tried to kill me!" "You tried to rob me!" He seethed. "No I tried to get pre paid for my assistance, you rejected it. Now we are done." He pointed to his bleeding abdomen, "no. We aren't." I stared at the blood soaked bandages for a moment, "that seems like a you problem."

Evangeline has not had a life like other she wolves. When she was 14 her brother, the next alpha of the Hawthorn pack, died leaving the pack without a male heir. And when the time came if Evangelines mate was found and suitable he would take over when her father stepped down. If he was already an alpha....then the pack would have no choice but to merge. They could only hope he was suitable. It was not a fate Evangeline wanted. Any of it. If it were up to her she would never find her mate. She did not want a mate. She did not need a mate. She could get everything she wanted on her own. ~~ I let out a breathless laugh, rolling off the werewolf beneath me. "Well that didn't totally suck." He chuckled, abs flexing, looking me over as I rose from the bed, "didn't totally suck?" I hummed searching for my dress, "yeah it was fun while it lasted." Pretty doesn't always equal the best stamina. "Thanks Alex." "...its Aaron." I cocked a brow at him, wiggling into my tight little black dress, "not for the past hour it wasn't but okay. Cool." I raked a hand through my hair, smoothing out the inky waves. "Anyways I have to get back to my pack before sunrise and I cant find my panties. If you do, their yours." Sauntering over to him I kissed him deeply, "thanks again Andy." He chuckled, "its Aaron, and how about if I find them I give you a call?" Shit. How drunk was I? "Did I give you my number?" "No." "good." I started for his door, "have a nice life Adam." "Its Aaron!" He called after me. I rolled my eyes, "whatever." He was not good enough in bed for me to remember his name. Besides I had better things to do. Like get home before dad found out I was gone. My first Lunar Ball was coming, my first time participating to find a mate. Unfortunately.

They are born of myth, legend, and lore. Beautiful women beneath the waves, tempting sailors with playful smiles and beckoning gazed as the break the surface. It is nearly every young sailors dream to encounter a mermaid, to see the beauties of the sea. Maybe, just maybe, to catch one too. That is...until their wish comes true. They find themselves face to face with the strange enchanting girl smiling just above the surface with skin like moonlight and lips like rose petals. Just one touch, is all it takes to seal a sailors fate. Beneath the waves is not ethereal beauty. But claws, and fangs, and blades of stone. Revealed in the sea is a mermaids true face and a sailors deadly fate. And Zariel is the deadliest of them all. Daughter of Poseidon and a deep sea mermaid she is dark, powerful, and beautiful by both mermaid standards and especially that of the humans. There is nothing she enjoys more than a hunt, collecting different skulls of different types of humans. Navy men, merchants, fishermen, pirates, and travelers alike. She has them all. Her collection is as admirable as her ferociousness. Only one type of mortal is missing. One skull she has yet to collect. A royal. Royal bones for a royal mermaid. Zariel, princess of the sea, doesn't want just any royal. No. She wants a prince. One who matches her in both ferocity and blood thirst. Zariel was going to get the skull of Rowan Delacroix if it was the last thing she did. Formerly first inline to the throne. A prince turned pirate. A hunter of mermaids. His ship was one she would take pride in wreaking.
